Earlier we went through some groom wedding speech information. Hopefully this was helpful and you are ready to write your own wedding speech. Anyway here it goes in not particular order, my Top 10 Killer wedding speech tips.
#1 Do some homework and find some interesting items about your bride, your family and friends. Find out some interesting information about their foibles and hobbies
#2. With the information you collected you can reverse some of item for a funny outcome. For example if the Bride loves Shopping and bags, you can then mention how you will be able to afford keeping this hobby. Just an example but any hobby or phobia can be reversed for some light humor.
#3. Thank the parents for being there and whoever put work in organizing the event. Everybody loves this in a wedding speech.
#4. You can say something "deep" and wize about what marriage really means to you, attach the content to your bride qualities and you are onto a winner.
#5. Maybe repeat an old saying or a piece of classical literature. it will immediately anchor the meaning and importance of your speech on others
#6. Don't forget the Father and Mother of the Bride! if you want to give the thank you note a sense of humor, you might want to refer to their hobbies and thank them for taking the time to drop that to come to the wedding... For example during the groom toast you might say thank you for taking the day off his golf playing schedule to come today..
#7. Mirroring your parents or the bride's parents relationship into the Wedding speeches can be effective way of saying thank you. For example you could say that you hope that your marriage will be as successful as their happy relationship.
#8. Love love love, don't forget to say how much you love your New Wife! Everybody in the audience will be immediately emotionally attached to your words. This is key to a great groom toasts
#9. A good groom wedding toast will include thanking the bridesmaids for all their support. You can enlist the help of your best man so that he says something such as he is so lucky to be surrounded by such lovely ladies.
#10. Don't forget to say something about the wedding service too and how well it was done.
#11. Think positive, be positive, stay positive and Focused! This day is about happiness and perfection. The wedding speeches need to be upbeat and allways in a positive spin. No critics or remarks what so ever here!
#12. Remember the ones that are there at the ceremony, say something nice about them and how they would have been proud or happy to see you and your bride on this day.

Preparing the bride and groom speeches together can be a good thing to do.
My wife and I certainly didn’t write our speeches together but we did think that it would be a good idea to discuss our speeches in order to find a common theme we could follow.
Decide who will start and say what
It is always a good idea to discuss bride and groom wedding speech ideas with your future wife. The main goal here is at first to check that you are nt repeating the same things in your wedding toasts. This is also something important to do when it comes to any groom wedding speech or father of groom wedding speech. The next thing is to get your stories straight. Imagine if you both talk about the same thing but contradict each other… Not good
However if you don’t want to do separate bride and groom toasts than that is fine too, you don’t have to. In fact it used to be more common for the groom toast to be a “combined wedding speech. Another option is to do one speech but address it together. This always makes for great entertainement

One key element on any wedding speech is that you should try to make it funny. It doesn’t have to be completely funny, but funny groom speeches always entertain the crowd. Just try to make sure they convey a message and are not offensive to anyone.
I knew I wanted to be funny (or at least try!) but most importantly I needed to remain respectful. The father of the groom had his own speech, so I knew I wanted to thank him for his toast and not insult anybody, especially his daughter with some awkward joke! Not sure this would have worked too well…
So, here is my take on a good Speech Humour
When I used humour on my own wedding speech, I know it helped me keep the audience alert. I used it on different spots of the speech, as a way to keep people listening and sort of bring them back to the speech. During a toast, the groom should be the main focus as well as his bride!
The best way to use this tactic in my experience is to interject your regular speech with a few good jokes. Say emotional things, then add a little humour to keep everyone relaxed and focused. I was pretty nervous and emotional, so this also really helped me as well as the audience!
Being informal and interacting with the audience whenever possible is a great funny groom speeches tip I learned. Don’t make it a bring thing, it is a Toast not a Uni Lesson! The groom should approach the speech as if he was sitting with old friends and casually talking. I know you might be nervous but when you think about it, the people in the room that matter are your friends and family.
Something I did, was to look in the eyes of the people in the room and rotatet my eye contact with several people in the room. This really helped me relax actually!
